Our commitment to quality and consistency...

This section explains a little bit about each of the accreditations which have achieved, why we have invested in them and how you benefit from them. Please feel free to ask us, or the awarding body, any questions in relation to the accreditation or processes.

Achilles Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB)
UVDB Verify is a standardised Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality assessment run by Achilles on behalf of subscribing utilities suppliers and contractors.

Focused primarily on business critical contracts with a high emphasis on SHEQ, the scheme provides an opportunity for suppliers and contractors to demonstrate their capability through a single standardised process.

Through the consultative procedure, working with an independent assessor and culminating in an on-site visit, companies will provide a comprehensive insight into their business in these key areas. At the end of the process, the Executive Summaries, Scores and Full Reports are made available via Achilles.com to the subscribing members.

AAG Swepco last completed a complete assessment in February 2008 which resulted in a very successful outcome.

The scores we received for Management Systems were:

  • Health and Safety - 88.6% (industry average score - 79.5%)
  • Environmental - 80.2% (industry average score - 65.8%)
  • Quality - 87.5% (industry average score - 76.8%)
